Sergeant N. Telford - 406410

According to his attestation papers, dated April 16, 1915 at Hamilton, Nathan Telford was born on December 13, 1894 in Lancashire, England.  He listed his father R. Telford, Vanevery Street, Mimico as his next of kin.  He was a steeplejack by trade and had previous military experience with the 36th Peel.  He was 20 years and 4 months of age and stood 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall.  He had blue eyes and fair hair and complexion.  He had a scar on the right side of his neck.  He was Presbyterian. 

Nathan Telford, a sergeant in the Canadian Machine Gun Corps was killed on April 15, 1917 and is buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.

According to the Canadian Virtual War Memorial he was awarded the Military Medal.
